Soft, flexible thread of this sort is a necessary prerequisite to making woven cloth.
On a far more basic level, string can be used simply to tie things up - to catch, to hold, to carry. From these notions come snares and fishlines, tethers and leashes, carrying nets, handles, and packages, not to mention a way of binding objects together to form more complex tools.
Elizabeth Wayland Barber
(Women's Work: the First 20,000 Years: Women, Cloth and Society in Early Times)
We don't accomplish anything in this world alone...and whatever happens is the result of the whole tapestry of one's life and all the weavings of individual threads from one to another that creates something.

Sacred Threads
神聖
The knots we tie
Influences that endure
The times we defy
Love that is pure
The paths we take
Course corrections we make
The ties that bind
Connections that fray and unwind
The mistakes we make
Lessons we learn
The advice we take
Wisdoms we earn

伐折羅大将
One of the 12 generals that protect the Yakushi Buddha.
.
The Twelve Divine Generals serve and protect Yakushi Nyorai, the healing Buddha, who heals all diseases, including the disease of ignorance. They are also responsible for protecting the faithful and vanquishing the enemies of Buddhism. The generals are usually depicted with ferocious countenances, wearing armor and standing in fighting poses.

Dragon
龍
As a symbol of enlightenment and guardian of Buddhist law, the dragon is one of the most significant animals in the Buddhist pantheon. It is one of the Four Celestial Emblems, guardian of the East and the rain-giver, bringer of prosperity to humanity and thus, although powerful and fearsome, in contrast to the malevolent European dragon, is seen as just and benevolent, often associated with wealth and good fortune.

Wind up in a purpose built studio space on the grounds of renowned Curly Flat vineyard where he has developed natural pigments - such as a shibui coffee hue on silk from Curly Flat’s pinot vines and an evolving grey/brown from eucalyptus - from native materials.
And, created an artist signature to mark the Australian chapter of his career.
.For multitudinous seekers of the path such as those - what were their goals in life?
あまた多くの求道者達は何をもとめて活きたのだろうか?
.
Humankind has not woven the web of life.
We are but one thread within it.
Whatever we do to the web, we do to ourselves.
All things are bound together.
All things connect.
